TEACHING FOR HIGHER EDUCATION: INFORMATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE DIGITAL AGE

There is at present, that dictate the order of technologies work and manual labour is increasingly replaced by machines-in turn, increasingly autonomous and intelligent. In this contemporary era digital – digital culture, also known as the computer age and the convergence of technology and devices, the information and communication technologies – ICT and digital technologies of information and communication-TDIC are present in good part, both at work and in the classroom and between various moments and situations of the people. It is understood that the 20th century was the scene of the revolution in the field of communications, which, in conjunction with three factors – microelectronics, computers and telecommunications, no doubt provide close relations and greater understanding between the peoples, as well as harmonise borders by the virtual world. With that, the education was and is the main factor for the development of a nation and to the international competitiveness of a country. Soon, ICTs promote innovation within education and training, access to information and be able to decide them to generate knowledge. So, for the training of teachers and students in higher education, the present text, the bibliographical research, empirical experience and the experience during the master's program in the graduate program in Digital Television from UNESP/Bauru-SP With this, it was possible to observe and experience that ICT increasingly disseminate the information, but you must construct the knowledge – not every information generates knowledge. This construct is given by the faculty to be prepared for use by media access and ownership, which includes skills and abilities to teach, mediate and learn to learn from the media. Therefore, promoting the internationalization of knowledge and prepare the student body to be more reflective and critical to information accessed.
