Abstract

This article aims to understand the concept of teaching of Thomas Aquinas. The magistro From work: on the master: Issues discussed on the Truth, XI constitutes the main reference for our search. From questions about truth and also about teaching the reflections of this thinker, even though temporarily separated for nearly a millennium and with the centrality of God and the systematization of Christian doctrine, preserve itself elements that help us to think complexities of existence in modern world. Thomas Aquinas, to take the Aristotelian doctrine as the basis of his thinking, thought teaching from the understanding of the intrinsic relationship between philosophy and theology and the intrinsic unity between the spiritual and material dimensions and demonstrating how the master, through education, inspiration the student to go from the particular to the universal, from potency to act.
