Cooperative education is one of the pillars of cooperativism and, therefore, its promotion is vital for the sustainability of this type of organization. These institutions find it very difficult to develop effective channels for training cooperative members, due to the complexity of the business and the restricted agenda of doctors, due to the many commitments that the professional activity demands. Based on these considerations, the proposal of the present work is the development of a prototype of an Intelligent Tutoring System, with Artificial Intelligence resources, integrated to a Virtual Learning Environment, with functionalities that make it possible to organize and recommend activities and contents in line with the styles of student learning, and that each recommendation can constantly improve its assertiveness through its ability to learn artificially with the historical data of the virtual environment. Some similar works were identified, whose essence is the proposal to promote adaptability in virtual environments of distance learning, however, none of them uses scoring mechanisms of teaching materials based on the learning styles, age group and gender of the students, to content recommendation, as well as its application in the context of cooperativism. As a result, 86% of the associated physicians who responded to the questionnaire considered the help of virtual tutors sensitive to their learning styles to be important or very important in recommending distance learning activities for the dissemination of cooperative education.References
