Abstract

Há uma peculiaridade em estudar o município de Inhumas em virtude de se localizar geograficamente no centro da investida do agronegócio da cana-de-açúcar. A expansão canavieira em Goiás mostra-se como um setor produtivo de grande monta econômica. Esse estudo justifica-se ao constatar que uma diminuição do crescimento demográfico no município de Inhumas e regiões adjacentes em virtude do agronegócio da cana. Os resultados preliminares apontam que muitas terras neste município estão sendo arrendadas em prol do avanço do agronegócio sob a estaca da expansão na produtividade de etanol. Estas novas investidas do capital na região de Inhumas vêm transformando a mesma como um reduto apto a absorver múltiplas fronteiras: uma urbana e outra da indústria do campo.
