Abstract

O presente artigo apresenta reflexões sobre cultura, seus desdobramentos e especificações, em um eixo da análise social e cultural dentro do turismo sob a ótica do mochileiro. Fez-se necessário definir cultura e suas dimensões, para apresentar tudo o que ela engloba dentro de um povo, em uma região. O principal objetivo é abordar as características do turista mochileiro, aquele que viaja sem muito planejamento, pouco dinheiro e está em busca de contato social, em diferentes lugares. Para tanto, foi necessário buscar informações de quem já o praticou e assim obter respostas para caracterizá-lo e discutir sobre suas diferentes formas de conhecer lugares e pessoas. O mochileiro sai de sua casa em busca de aventura, de algo que dê motivação para conhecer seus limites, conhecer a si mesmo e abdicar do luxo.
