Abstract

Embasados no Manifesto da Unesco/Ifla sobre Biblioteca escolar nos propusemos a refletir sobre importância da Biblioteca do CEFET-GO UNED/Inhumas promover, em parceria com os professores da Unidade, o Projeto Circuito do Livro. A partir do momento que a biblioteca cede espaço para a interação, entre os sujeitos/leitores e neoleitores contribui para o desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências em leitura, que é um compromisso de todas as áreas (NEVES, 2004). Durante as discussões das leituras no Circuito do livro é percebido que a linguagem serve de elo entre o pensamento do autor e suas memórias. Dessa forma, compreendemos que os participantes tornam-se co-autores, contando, ouvindo, lendo e refletindo sobre as diversas possibilidades de leitura. Vale ressaltar que as bibliotecas públicas devem colocar como propósito de funcionamento o que está resguardado na Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos (1948) que é a promoção da cidadania.
