Abstract

A infecção hospitalar é considerada um problema grave, crescendo tanto em incidência quanto em complexidade, gerando diversos tipos de implicações sociais e econômicas. O controle da infecção deve ser à base de atuação de todos os profissionais de saúde. A falta de controle da IH (Infecção Hospitalar) e o aparecimento de germes MR (Multi Resistentes), ocasionam vários tipos de custos, destacando se: Perda de vidas e variáveis graus de incapacidade temporária ou permanente; Aumento do custo com medicamentos, principalmente antibióticos de última geração; Aumento do custo relacionado ao aumento de procedimentos invasivos (cirurgias, por exemplo). Propõe-se, a modelagem matemática do risco de contrair IH e o risco de morte por IH nos Hospitais de Goiânia.
