THE GOVERNMENT ARTS: IS THE TEACHER THE “NEW PASTOR†A SERVICE OF STATE MACHINE?

What the government is and how to govern are a theme that, since Plato and Aristotle, the philosophy has been occupied its time. The government in ancient Greece differs, however, of other forms of government, as is the case of the Hebrews and Mesopotamia in general. In ancient Greece what is governed are the cities, nevertheless, especially among the Hebrews, it does not governs political structures, as a State, or a territory, men are governed. The way of conducting men arises in pre-Christian Orient and its structure of pastoral power will develop itself from high Christian spirituality, under the technical direction of consciousness and examination of conscience. In presence of the exposed, as part of the purpose of this article, the direction of consciousness will be rescued in its Hellenic and Christian form. In other words, the modern State configured itself from the arts to govern of the pastoral power's technology and maintain remnants in relation of form of government of the Greek cities. Being this mechanism of government a new form of pastoral power, it is necessary to investigate which professions could claim to themselves the title of pastor. From these assumptions, the focus of communication relapses in the debate about the role of Philosophy teacher. It is about investigate whether Philosophy teacher is contributing through of the others government, or is just enforcing standards imposed by the State with subjection intentions. Such as the "pastor" who governs men so that they are passive and submissive to a given authority, which results in the state of subjection and full obedience. Is the Philosophy teaching still linked on the practice of governing of Christian spirituality? Does Philosophy teacher shapes the subjectivities according to the State’s normalization?Downloads
