The current shortage of physics teachers for secondary education has led to an increase in the number of mathematics teachers who take physics classes. This article discusses the results of an initial investigation with a group of mathematics teachers of Mato Grosso do Sul who took physics classes in high school. The use of computer simulations of physical phenomena, constructed with the aid of Modellus 4.01 program, was chosen to show in three meetings with teachers. The analysis of video recordings suggests that teachers, despite initial resistance, were receptive to the potential generator simulations and activities in Modellus 4.01.Downloads
