A GARDEN IN "FLORESTA"

Abstract

Um Jardim em Floresta conta uma história que tenta aproximar duas localidades. Trata da questão do excesso e da falta de água, através de uma ação que começa no Rio de Janeiro, e se completa na localidade de Floresta, sertão de Pernambuco, Nordeste do Brasil, região atingida por severas e longas secas. Lá não chovia há três anos. A ação se baseia em retirar o excesso de umidade do meu ateliê no Rio, por meio de desumidificadores, acumular essa água em garrafas de vidro e levá-la ao sertão para regar um jardim que seria construído por lá. Por dois anos engarrafei essa água, pensando na seca que impede a proliferação do verde e da vida em Floresta. Em Janeiro de 2016 fui do Rio de Janeiro à Floresta, levando comigo cerca de 180 garrafas de água. Durante cinco dias viajei por cidades/lugarejos vizinhos buscando mudas de plantas. Consegui seis caixas de mudas para o plantio. As mudas foram dadas de presente por pessoas que cultivam jardins no sertão. Voltando a Floresta, construí um jardim, reguei com a água transportada. O Inesperado aconteceu. Fotografei e filmei o processo.
