Educação a distância e online em Moçambique: desafios enfrentados por estudantes no ensino superior

Em Moçambique, a Educação a Distância e Online (EaDO) enfrenta desafios relacionados com a preparação dos estudantes para a dinâmica que caracteriza essa modalidade de educação. Neste contexto, o presente estudo busca compreender a natureza dos desafios enfrentados pelos estudantes no processo instrucional. As teorias de equivalência e de educação online constituem o suporte teórico. A metodologia foi mista e a amostra é constituída por 2067 estudantes de diferentes programas de licenciatura. Os dados foram recolhidos através de um inquérito que decorreu no primeiro e no segundo semestres de 2023. O estudo recorre a técnicas de análise do conteúdo e de comparação. Os resultados indicam quatro categorias de dificuldades: o acesso às TIC, os mecanismos de interação entre os envolvidos, as estratégias para viabilizar a EaDO, e a disponibilidade do estudante. As primeiras duas categorias revelam-se as que atingem maior número de estudantes. Concluiu-se que a EaDO necessita de uma preparação adequada de todos os envolvidos, e o uso das TIC é fundamental para uma prática educativa relevante.
