Human traffic is a significant phenomenon and has increased in contemporary society produces a large number of victims, mostly women between eighteen and twenty-four years old. Sociology, Library Science and the visual arts have an important role in preventing this phenomenon to develop interdisciplinary activities where information and sociological discussion are interwoven with visual arts for the prevention of violence and the culture of peace promotion. The interweaving of these areas did the workshop on Human Traffic: report to prevent aimed at integrating curricula and activities with critical reflection on social reality. To ensure the connection between sociology, library and visual arts presented at the III Week of Science and Technology and VI Week of the Book and Library, an event was held in IFG / Inhumas in October 2014, one short course and a workshop, interdependent activities, lasting four hours each section. The short course aimed at the integration of theoretical discussion covered in the syllabus of sociology discipline and registered design with the workshop Traffic: gluing and painting prevention. The "challenge" put to the participants to make posters using magazine clippings had the aim to raise awareness, through art, the community on the issue at hand. Some posters produced were distributed in the community and others were selected to exhibition in events in order to warn about the problem of women traffic. The participating public were the students of the Integrated Technical Courses of IFG and women of the Thousand Women Program. The interdisciplinary approach is justified for establishing the interaction between teaching-learning process to a set of experiences that help students reflect on human rights. The proposed methodology has gained the interest of students and community participation to visit the exhibition. This not only opens space for other similar initiatives, but also to awaken the need for social, behavioral and cultural changes.References
