Quem são os nativos digitais? Análise bibliométrica da pesquisa Sobre nativos digitais em âmbito internacional (2013-2022)

Resumo

Objetivando-se contribuir para o entendimento dos nativos digitais na atualidade, a partir de publicações internacionais da última década, realizou-se um estudo bibliométrico para uma amostra total de 377 artigos. As pesquisas foram coletadas da base indexadora Scopus, no período de 2013-2022, contendo o termo-raiz “digital nativ*”, sem restrição de região/país, para se obter o panorama internacional do tema. A análise bibliométrica da amostra foi realizada com uso da interface Biblioshiny da ferramenta Bibliometrix do software RStudio. Adicionalmente, foi elaborado um quadro-síntese contendo as contribuições empíricas dos dez artigos mais citados da amostra. Os resultados da análise bibliométrica foram: (1) os principais temas tangentes aos nativos digitais pesquisados no período são “redes sociais”, “digital divide”, “tecnologias da informação e comunicação” e “educação”; (2) a maioria dos artigos publicados sobre nativos digitais são oriundos de poucos países, a maioria dos quais são países de alta renda; (3) dos dez artigos mais citados, todos pesquisaram os nativos digitais na área educacional; (4) a pesquisa sobre nativos digitais apresentou tendência crescente no período analisado em âmbito internacional. Os resultados obtidos da elaboração do quadro-síntese foram: (1) há características universais nos jovens dessa geração; (2) há características difundidas que foram comprovadas não consistentes; (3) há novas características constatadas, em comparação às pesquisas das décadas precedentes; (4) há conceitos, características e fatores de análise de importância-chave no estudo e compreensão dos nativos digitais.
